OUR JOURNEY

In 2013, founder and director of both the SFSU Gospel Choir and Gospel Gators Foundation, Ja Ronn Thompson, was given the vision to assemble a vocal ensemble that would cross the thresholds of art, culture, and genre. Ja Ronn & The Faithful Levites of Worship (FLOW) was born!

After personally hand-picking vocalists (each a force in their own right), Ja Ronn & the FLOW began to embark on a creative journey that would present them with the opportunities to perform for and with the likes of acclaimed filmmaker George Lucas; international, diamond-selling rock band Journey; and renowned tenor Josh Groban! Add to that, Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, and Quincy Jones! Having worked with reputable production companies, such as Élan Artists (of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York) and Entire Productions (San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA), it is clear that this group is destined for stellar success!

In 2015, Ja Ronn & FLOW are keeping the momentum with a recent appearance on the Oxygen network’s hit show, “Fix My Choir” starring renowned gospel recording artists, Michelle Williams and Deitrick Haddon. In addition, the group is celebrating the release of their debut singles, “I Know A Man” and “Your Majesty” which are now available on iTunes, CD Baby, and Google Play.  This fall, Ja Ronn & FLOW will begin recording their debut studio album and they have enlisted help from the gospel industry’s most gifted songwriters and producers including Christopher Haynes and the incomparable Allowyn Price. It is certain that the best is yet to come!
